The Modern Age and the Miraculous Power of Maa Baglamukhi

In today’s scientific era, miracles often seem like relics of the past. However, there are moments in life when inexplicable events occur that leave even the most rational minds searching for answers. One such remarkable incident took place in 1962, amidst the backdrop of the Indo-China war.

A Historical Miracle: Nehru and Mata Baglamukhi

In 1962, when Chinese forces attacked India, the famous slogan “Hindi-Chini Bhai-Bhai” had lost its relevance. India’s first Prime Minister, Jawahar Lal Nehru, received intelligence that China might launch an air attack on Delhi. Faced with this dire threat, Nehru began considering the evacuation of the capital. During this critical time, someone advised Nehru about Mata Baglamukhi of Pitambara Peeth in Datia, Madhya Pradesh, and her devoted disciple, Swami Ji Maharaj.

Desperate for a solution, Nehru decided to visit Datia as a last ray of hope. After traveling to Gwalior and then to Datia, Nehru met the esteemed saint, Swami Ji Maharaj. Swami Ji assured Nehru that the Chinese forces would retreat in exactly nine days. Following Swami Ji’s guidance, nine Havan Kunds (sacrificial fire pits) were prepared, and a grand Yagya (ritual) began in honor of Mata Baglamukhi. Nehru participated in the initial offerings and returned to Delhi, leaving the rest in the hands of the Swami and the Acharyas.

For nine days and nights, Swami Ji Maharaj and the Acharyas conducted the Yagya with unwavering dedication. Miraculously, exactly nine days later, the Chinese forces withdrew from the occupied territories, leaving many to wonder about the power behind this divine intervention. This historic Yagya site remains preserved in Datia, commemorating the miraculous event.
