According to tradition, Goddess Meenakshi, who is considered an incarnation of Parvati, was born with three breasts. The third breast vanished when she encountered Lord Shiva, symbolizing their sacred union, which is commemorated each year during the festival of Meenakshi Thirukalyanam.
