(Akshaya Tritiya Puja) Traditional worship and puja method of Akshaya Tritiya

Purification of the place of worship
- First clean the place by sprinkling Gangajal mixed in water where you want to start worship and puja rituals.
Decoration of the place of worship

Utensils used in worship
- Take a big earthen pot. This pot will be donated after the completion of the puja because there is a significance of donating a filled pot on this day. The day of Akshaya Tritiya is associated with Akshaya Patra and therefore it is beneficial to donate a filled pot to a needy person on this day.
- Also take four more small pots. These can be of clay, copper or brass. These pots will not be donated.
- In Hinduism, the pot is never kept empty while worshiping, so first tie a mauli or kalava on all the pots.
Placement of the pots on the square
- Place the big pot in the middle on the swastika. Remember that no object or substance will be kept directly on the ground during the puja, so place some rice grains on the swastika and then place the big pot on it.
Place the remaining four pots on the four corners of the square. Also remember to place these pots over rice grains as well. - Fill all the pots with water.
Installation of idols
- Install idols or pictures of Lord Vishnu, Goddess Lakshmi, and Kuber Ji. Wherever you are installing the idol or picture, place rice grains there and on top of it place the pictures or idols.
